Hello world!

My name is Max and and I’m a Doberman Pinscher.

Welcome to my site. This is my first post.

It’s a hot April day and the sun has been cooking the pavement – too hot for a walk. I can’t find a single shade tree in this tiny yard to lounge under, so I’m stuck inside. Wait, let me back up a little…

I love to get into the car. Getting in the car typically means, I am going somewhere exciting. Sometimes I don’t get out of the car when we stop, which is kind of boring, but it is still fun to get in a few new smells in along the way.

Recently, I got in the car and we didn’t get out for a really long time. This means I’m going on barkcation!

On barkcations we would pull off at these random parking lots along the highway, where sometimes other people would be sleeping and I’d have to wake them. Other times, we would see folks walking their furry friends. We always took a walk around the perimeter to do a security check and, on occasion, I’d eat my food along the side of the car. This was like a long journey. By the end of the ride my boney little butt was stiff as beef cheeks.

I live in Seattle, Washington. It is rains where I live. While on my barkation, I could see myself at home, eagerly awaiting at the window for a break in the down-pour to go outside. I could also see those pesky bunnies hopping all through my yard, teasing me with their fuzzy little tails and munching on my grass.

It seemed, from the signs we were passing, that we were Los Angeles, California. I was here once before, for a week or two. I was not accustomed to those southern Cali smells, busy city sounds, or the pulse on my body of the heat.

I was able to find time to enjoy a hike through a local park, a few neighborhood strolls, and a visit to a dog friendly off leash beach in California. Of course, I wasn’t allowed off leash.

Fun in the sun

I’ve had a lot of fun in the sun this summer. I have been able to go out on walks here and there and found some great smells along the way. I discovered my first four leaf clover, what a wonderful surprise. All the beautiful flowers were great to see and smell.

We discovered some new adventure paths around our neighborhood, that I keep wanting to explore. On one of my walks I found a reflective thing where I could see myself. I can see I’m getting bigger.

We’ve been changing our routine frequently to cover more ground on our neighborhood security checks. We established a few checkpoints here and there, which we revisit and review carefully and regularly.

I even got into some new interests like; frisbee, thanks to my Uncle Blake – he gave me some nice treats to eat too. We usually play in the backyard, sometimes I like to fetch the frisbee and other times, well check out my video to find out.

Breaking News: Great White Dobbie sightings along West Coast.

Great White Doberman Sighting Warning:

To inform the public: From Washington to California state there have been several recent Great White Doberman sightings; we are providing this post notifying the public to be aware and use caution (or treats) if approached by one. Of course, the Great White Doberman should do a command or perform a trick before receiving the snack. Finally, depending upon the yumminess of the snack it is advised to use the command “gentle,” before presentation of treats.

Sighting Details

The sighting of a Great White Dobbie is a rare event, the species was known to be in very low numbers or even thought extinct. The species is typically very suspicious of humans and avoids them in most native settings. Depending upon their age, they can also be hyper or very active, needing special attention from their parents and overseers. However, some recent sightings have been documented through video and photographs by first party witnesses, providing new insight into this rare creature. Individual witness accounts note both an excitement and joy as the species interacts with their surroundings and environment. Sometimes the Dobbie does a trick and at other times just taking in the furlicious smells.

Witnesses claim they were extremely shocked by the sighting, most keeping their distance just observing and filming or taking pictures. One witness claimed to have come face to face with a great white dobbie as she rounded a corner, “it only lasted a few moments, but it was both breath taking and anxiety increasing to witness. To see such a rare species sniffing around and just being a part of the moment was delightfully furfect.” She also recalled how enjoyable it was to watch the dobbie swim away, “his little tail wagging from side to side, it was just adorable.”

Skeptics

There are several local surfer cat activist groups claiming this is the last straw and requesting through a petition, “that canines be restricted from beaches and certain neighborhoods.” One such group, the Fluffy Tail-Whips, are showing support has began another petition, propetsition: Meow Meow 64, to add to this year’s election ballot. The group is currently seeking 100,000 paw prints to bring their initiative forward for review and addition to the next ballot and for the upcoming election cycle. The group has claiming to have received more than two thirds of the required signatures in support of their initiative through a recent press release.

A few dog activist groups are barking up, claiming this is just “another attempt by surfer cats to finally get a complete banned of canines from the beaches and off certain streets.” Spokesperson Jimmy Adrool of the Bow Wow Boys said in regards to the petition during a recent telephone conversation.
